The Shreveport Airport Authority is represented by a 5 person voluntary non-paid board which serves on rotating 4 year terms. The board members are appointed on a staggered basis by the Mayor of Shreveport. The director of airports reports to the Shreveport Airport Authority and the Mayor.
The current board members are Waynette Ballengee, Margaret Shehee, Mary Jackson, Grant Nuckols, and Jonathon Reynolds. Ballengee is the chairman, although the airport website lists Shehee as the chair.
Jackson and Shehee were first appointed to the board before Jan. 2015.
Ballengee was appointed in July 2015.
Nuckols was appointed in March 2017.
Reynolds was appointed in July 2017.
Since her 2105 appointment, Ballengee has missed 13 of 43 meetings.
Jackson has missed 8 of 49 meetings since Jan. 2015 (one meeting was due to the death of her sister).
Shehee has missed 7 of 49 meetings since Jan. 2015.
Since his appointment Nickols has missed 1 of 24 board meetings.
Reynolds has missed 2 of 23 meetings.
The board generally meets once a month. In 2015 and 2016 there were only 11 board meetings. There was no board meeting in January of this year but there was a special meeting earlier this month.
