John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

CADDO REGISTRAR OF VOTER APPLICANTS

Yesterday (Aug.15) was the deadline to submit application for the Caddo Registrar of Voters.

Caddo Commission clerk received twenty one (21) applications. He has forwarded those to

Donna Frazier, parish attorney. Frazier will review these to ensure that each applicant meets the statutory requirements for the position.

The appointment will be made by a majority of the 12 member Caddo Commission. The timeline will be decided at the Thurs. (Aug 22) meeting.

The appointment is for life. The starting salary, as set by state law, is $83,000.
