SETTLE TO ATTEND CADDO COMMISSION MEETING TODAY AT 3:30 P.M. DESPITE BAN LETTER

Several people have forwarded me the letter that ATTEMPTS to ban me from attendance at today's meeting.

I have NOT been provided a copy by Commission President Roy Burrell nor the Commission staff.

My position is as follows:

1. Commission President Burrell does NOT have the unilateral power under the commission rules and bylaws to ban me.

2. The full commission has NOT voted on this proposed ban.

3. The Louisiana Constitution and the U.S. Constitution both allow my presence as a private citizen and as a member of the media.

4. I have been informed that absent a court order that the Caddo Parish Sheriff will not comply with the letter.

I plan on entering the chambers at Government Plaza at approximately 3:15 p.m. as is my practice.
