The media has just be emailed an announcement:
"Join Councilman Alan Jackson for the
Groundbreaking and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Southern Hills
Beautification Project."
Jackson is the council representative for the Southern Hills area.
He was appointed in Dec. by Gov. John Bel Edwards and his term ends Dec. 31 of this year.
The council clerk's office should be politically neutral.
The clerk's office should not be sending out any press releases other than those strictly dealing with council business, like advertising for candidates to fill open positions.
This announcement speaks of political cronyism and this author will file a complaint with the Louisiana Ethics Administration to seek a ruling .
