John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

Family Dollar Store has four Bossier locations on the Bossier Metropolitan Planning Commission agenda for this coming Mon., July 10. The meeting starts at 2 p.m. in the city council chambers.

The four locations are 2226 Texas Street, 4100 Barksdale Boulevard, 5350 East Texas Street and 5362 Barksdale Boulevard.

The requests are for Conditional Use Approval for the sale of high and low content alcohol for off premise consumption.

Citizens can comment on these applications.

Any MPC approval must be confirmed by the Bossier City Council.
