John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

At its next meeting, the Shreveport City Council can approve the construction of a Shreveport Police Department substation on property on North Market.

This property was donated to the City of Shreveport by the North Shreveport Business Association.  The city has expended funds for the clearing of the property and  is ready to issue a Request for Proposal for construction of the substation.

The approval of this location is needed now so that construction plans can be commenced ASAP. SPD is renting a temporary location in this area. The prompt completion of the new substation will save the city payment of rent on the temporary location.
