DDA EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR SWAINE RESIGNS

 Liz Swaine, the executive director of the Downtown Development Authority (DDA), has announced her retirement on Dec. 31 of this year. Swaine will join the staff of the Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate.

 While all the media focus is on the Caddo Sheriff race recount, there is some news on the east side of the river. Well....rumors that have substantial merit.The first is that a Bossier-Webster judge will go to the house next year.

A QUICK READ OF THE NICKELSON ELECTION CHALLENGE LAWSUIT

Caddo Sheriff run-off candidate John Nickelson filed an election challenge yesterday (Mon.).This was after the recount of the absentee ballots that gave both Henry Whitehorn and Nickelson an additional three votes. The result of the recount gave Whitehorn a one (1) vote majority.

CADDO SHERIFF RECOUNT CONFIRMS ONE VOTE VICTORY FOR WHITEHORN!

Just announced after the scan of the absentee ballots and examination of irregular ballots by the Election Board of Supervisors.Litigation is expected to be filed by Nickelson.Additionally, the scanned recount of the Caddo Assessors race between Regina Webb and Brett Frazier.
