FULLER EXPLAINS HER RESOLUTION REQUESTING DOJ INVESTIGATION

Shreveport council woman Levette Fuller is sponsoring a  resolution requesting that the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division( DOJ) initiate a pattern or practice investigation into whether there are systematic violations of the Constitution or federal law by the Shreveport Police Department.

LOCAL AREA LAW ENFORCEMENT UTILIZES BODY CAMS

 Roy Griggs and other local business people have joined together as the Concerned Business People of Shreveport.This group made a donation of $100,000 to the Shreveport Police Department to help fund the purchase of body cameras for Shreveport police officers. The fund now has more than $125,000.

WILL PERKINS INTRODUCE A MASK ORDINANCE TO THE CITY COUNCIL?

 The emergency mask  order issued by Shreveport Mayor Adrian Perkins is being challenged in court.Judge Craig Marcotte has issued a temporary restraining order (TR0) that prohibits enforcement of the penalty provisions of the order until a hearing on Tues. July 14.

LAWSUIT FILED TO VOID PERKINS'  EXECUTIVE  MASK ORDER

The anticipated litigation has been filed.On Tues. July 20 at 9:30 a.m. First Judicial Judge Craig Marcotte will hear the case on the merits.The plaintiffs are Celcog,LLC dba Strawn's Eat Shop Too, Monjuni's of Portico, Air U Shreveport, The Brain Train and Bearing Service & Supply.

CADDO MASK ORDINANCE: CLARITY VERSUS CONFUSION
