CADDO COMMISSION PRESIDENT SHOULD PROMPTLY ASSIGN CADDO LAKE WATER ISSUE TO A COMMITTEE

The concerns about Caddo Lake and the withdrawal of water are real. Currently Blanchard has the authority from the State of Louisiana to process up to 5 million gallons of water per day for its water plant. This authorization could be increased if the water plant is expanded.

STEWART RE-ELECTION BID PRESS RELEASE RAISES ETHICAL QUESTIONS

A press release titled “DA Stewart announces re-election big to packed house” was received by yours truly on Thursday of last week by email at 7:48 p.m. The Caddo courthouse was closed on that day and thus the DA’s office was not officially open. This presser is attached below with the picture.

YES VIRGINA, MAYOR ARECNEAUX’S WIFE’ NAME IS ELIZABETH

Blame it on the ice/sleet storm. Blame it on spellcheck. Blame it on working in a cold office—temperature is about 50 degrees with a HVAC unit out. Blame it on the dog, but I only have a cat. Daa. This writer needs to get out more to social/political events to greet Elizabeth and Tom.

G-UNITS GALORE MAY BE DOING BUSINESS IN SHREVEPORT

Unless a reader has been camping out in a darkness retreat with Aaron Rogers, the mere mention of G-Unit immediately suggests Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. For old-time hip-hop fans, G-Unit (short for Guerrilla-Unit) was a hip hop group formed by east coast rappers 50 Cent, Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks.
