Times are tough for the Caddo Parish Sheriff Office.
Money is tight.
I understand.
After all, the Sheriff just spent $5.45 million for the former Mitsubishi car dealership in the auto mall.
Maybe that’s the reason I was charged $2 for a two-page response to a public records request. (See below.)
Goodness, this response could have been emailed to me.
I suspect the real reason is that I failed to use the designated portal for a public records request by sending the request to Josh Williams, the in-house attorney for the Caddo Sheriff.
Unlike his predecessor, Williams is generally unresponsive to inquiries. This reflective of the closed shop attitude of Sheriff Whitehorn who has not been media friendly since his election.
