For years downtown advocates have complained about the Hakim properties in downtown Shreveport that have remained vacant with no renovation: the Slattery Building on Marshall,  the Johnson Building on Milam and the old Panos Diner building on Milam.

The tragedy is virtually unspeakable. A 13-year-old boy killed his 14-year-old sister on Sunday. The Shreveport Police Department (SPD) press release reports that multiple people were in the north Shreveport home at the time of the shooting and they were interviewed.

KEEL radio news today contains INCORRECT information about the Caddo pickleball complex. The news report states that the PICKLEBALL complex will be on the November ballot for voter approval. THIS IS TOTALLY WRONG. The proposed Caddo SPORTS complex a be on the November ballot.
