WHEN DOES AN “AS IS” LEASE BY CITY REQUIRE REMEDIATION AT MILLINNEUM STUDIOS

It was unexpected and unfortunate. And some of it could have been caused by the third parties. I am referring to the flooding at Millennium Studios on Monday. The lease of the studios to G-Unit is an “as is” lease and it was executed after the FIRST flooding of the studios.

Former City of Shreveport Mayor John B. Hussey has transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home. Mayor Hussey served two terms as mayor of what could have been—and should have been—“The Next Great City of the South.” I was blessed to work under Mayor Hussey during both of his terms.

WATER DRIPS ON SECOND FLOOR OF GOVERNMENT PLAZA YESTERDAY

The Millennium Studios is not the only building that suffered water intrusion (not flooding) issues yesterday. The second floor of Government Plaza was not spared by the heavy downpours yesterday. Water was dripping in the mayor’s suite and a few IT offices.
