The Caddo Commission considered deleting the requirement of a college degree from the job posting for the Caddo clerk position. On a 5-5 vote, a motion to delete a college degree as a mandatory condition failed.After the meeting, I was contacted by an individual interested in the clerk position.

The Unified Development Code(UDC) was adopted by the city of Shreveport. The Caddo Commission adopted a modified version of the UDC.The Shreveport Caddo Metropolitan Planning Commission (MPC) is tasked with enforcing the UDC within the city of Shreveport.

That was the question debated by the Caddo commission at its work session on Mon. Nov 18. The job qualifications used when current clerk Todd Hopkins was hired did NOT require a degree. Hopkins retires at the end of the year.
