SUSPENDED SHREVEPORT CITY JUDGE SIMS HAS RE-ELECTION OPPONENT

Shreveport City Judge Sheva Sims is currently serving a nine-month suspension from her judicial duties without pay that ends in late December of this year. Sims’s term ends December 31 of this year. It is not known if she will be allowed to qualify for re-election.

Shreveport City Judge Sheva Sims is serving a nine-month suspension from her judgeship, without pay, which will end in late December of this year. Shreveport Attorney Lori Graham was sworn in as judge ad hoc by Shreveport Chief Judge Brian Barber on Tuesday April 14.

WILL CADDO COMMISSION REVIEW SPD FUNDING REQUESTS TODAY

The Caddo Commission meets today, Monday, for its work session at 3:30 p.m. The Shreveport Police Officers Association has requested the Commission fund $2.7 million for 40 police cars. Mayor Tom Arceneaux has submitted a Shreveport Police Department (SPD) funding list to the Commission.
