PAST FUNDING OF CADDO PARISH OF “FOR PROFIT” ENTITIES

At the Caddo Commission’s next regular meeting an agenda item will be funding $32,500 to the Louisiana Rouxgaroux—which is a FOR PROFIT entity.A public records request was made to determine if the Commission had funded any FOR PROFIT entities since Jan. 1, 2010, along with the amounts funded.

SHREVEPORT POLICE DEPARTMENT MARCH CRIME REPORT

Shreveport Police Chief Wayne Smith presented the March crime report to the Shreveport City Council yesterday. The crime statistics were current as of March 23, 2026. Here are reported crimes comparing March 2026 to March 2025: 1.  Sex crimes are down 13 2.  Vehicle Thefts are down 2% 3.

CITY JUDGE SIMS STARTS HER SUSPENSION

Shreveport City Judge Sheva Sims did not appeal her nine-month suspension without pay from the city court bench by the Louisiana Supreme Court. Thus, today Sims starts her hiatus from the Shreveport City Court.
