John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

AIRPORT HANGARS REDUCED IN VALUE 60%

Owners of hangars at the Shreveport Downtown Airport have been told that the actions taken by the Shreveport Airport Authority (SAA) have significantly dropped the value of their property.

According to a letter sent in December by Bossier Parish Tax Assessor Bobby Edmiston, he has taken the position to have his office adjust the assessments on all of the hangars at the Shreveport Downtown Airport to reflect a 60 percent reduction in value for the 2019 tax year.
