John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

PLAGUE OF BLACK-ON-BLACK CRIME IS DEVASTATING, MUST BE ADDRESSED HOLISTICALLY

Sadly, the killing of three black men in Shreveport this past Monday night is a continuing trend. A few days prior to those killings, two black men were killed and another was wounded, and prior to that a black man was killed, and his friend was gravely wounded.

This is what Shreveport citizens are inundated with on a daily basis, along with the daily death count for the coronavirus, which is also affecting black communities disproportionately. The plague of black-on-black crime is devasting and must be addressed holistically.
