John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

SHREVEPORT OPERA RETURNS TO RIVERVIEW THEATRE

The Shreveport Opera is the first arts organization to perform in Riverview Theatre during the COVD pandemic.

The Shreveport Opera Xpress (SOX) will have an "Evening of Opera and Broadway Favorites on Friday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. The performance will last an hour.

On Friday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. SOX will have its Art After Dark production consisting of four one-act operas, presented back to back. The performance will last 75 minutes.

SOX is the performing is the performing group of opera's Resident Artist Program. The group consists of four singers and a pianist/assistant conductor.

The audience size is limited to 175 to allow for appropriate social distancing.

Masks must be worn when entering and leaving the facility. Once patrons are seated the masks may be removed. Seating will be on every other row, with six feet between parties/groups. Other safety protocols will be in place.

There is no balcony seating.
