John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

RE: City of Shreveport Water Bills

Dear Mr. Settle:

The purpose of this letter is to address the Focus SB article regarding City of Shreveport unpaid water bills. The citizens of Shreveport and Caddo Parish can be assured that the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Offce does not owe the City of Shreveport a $27,908.49 water bill.

The City did provide water to the Stoner Marina substation. The City billing to CPSO for the past five (5) years is as follows:
