John Settle has closely followed local politics for over 40 years.
He has published regularly in The Shreveport Times, The Forum/318 Forum, The Shreveport Sun and The Inquisitor.
He has attended Shreveport city council and Caddo Commission meetings for the last 3 years.
He purchased The Inquisitor in Oct. of last year.
The Inquisitor weekly runs articles on Shreveport/Caddo politics and has op eds from established political commentators.
Earlier this year The Inquisitor ran over 24 pages of factual information and op eds on the proposed Cross Bayou Pointe development.
Settle enjoys speaking to civic clubs on local politics and readily entertains questions from attendees.

John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.
He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.
John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.
John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.
He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.
