John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

CADDO COMMISSION RIGHTLY REJECTS FLAWED GUN RESOLUTION

Caddo Parish Commissioner Lyndon B. Johnson should know that trying something twice doesn’t make it any better justified or wiser than when rejected the first time.

Last fall, just prior to elections Johnson introduced Resolution #83 of 2019. It petitioned the state legislature to mandate requirements for owning and carrying a firearm as well as pass legislation making it illegal for the general public to possess and use “assault” weapons, defined as fully automatic or semiautomatic with at least 21 available rounds.....
