FIVE N. LOUISIANA RESTAURANTS STANDING THE TEST OF TIME BY OFFERING TO-GO ORDERS

Five hole-in-the-wall restaurants in rural parts of north Louisiana offering to-go orders include Big Dup’s Cajun Kitchen, Café 180 To Go, Del Bob’s Burrito, Longwood General Store and Oak Alley Farms

Though some area restaurants have shuttered in recent weeks, there are some hole-in-the-wall eateries along the Boom or Bust Byway that are withstanding the impact of COVID-19 mandates to only offer curbside and to-go orders.

These five small-town restaurants are standing the test of time by continuing to offer their down-home dishes that locals love:

1. Big Dup’s Cajun Kitchen in Plain Dealing

Big Dup’s Cajun Kitchen is a restaurant and convenient store stashed along Highway 3. Only offering to-go items, their menu items consist of Cajun and soul food options, as well as breakfast. A few of their most popular menu items include the voodoo burger, boudin, hot water cornbread, ham hocks and stuffed chicken. Café 180 To Go in Vivian

Café 180 To Go is a food shack placed along Highway 1. Offering to-go only options, their daily specials consists of everything from Cajun food and salads, to pastas and burgers, and more. 3. Del Bob’s Burritos in Benton

Del Bob’s Burritos is a fairly new Mexican restaurant on Benton Road. They’ve made a reputation for attempting to create the largest-possible, made-fromscratch taco. Right now, they are offering customers everything from take and bake options to Taco Tuesday deals, as well as desserts and more. 4. Longwood General Store in Mooringsport

Longwood General Store & Casino is a local secret buried inside a gas station and known for their plentiful portions. Oak Alley Farms Outlet Store is a small-town sweetshop with a nationwide consumer base.
