CITY OF SHREVEPORT AND GOING BACK TO WORK

In response to my inquiry on when the employees of the City of Shreveport would resume normal work routine, the Communications Director, Benjamin Riggs replied as follows:

“The City of Shreveport will comply with the Governor’s Stay-Home-Order.  City employees who perform essential services have been working hard for the citizens of Shreveport throughout this public health emergency.  As we prepare for Phase 1 reopening, the City of Shreveport will continue encouraging telework where possible. Also, we will mandate safety measures to bring confidence to our employees and citizens that they are entering a safe environment.

Our essential workforce in all departments of city government have dutifully served the citizens of Shreveport since this pandemic began.  We have been working with all of city government to address the needs of our citizens.” —Henry Whitehorn, CAO
