CADDO ALLIANCE CLEARS ANOTHER HURDLE WITH HB 697

Yesterday the Senate Agriculture Committee rendered a favorable recommendation on the legislation to take Caddo Parish out of the Shreveport Caddo Metropolitan Planning Commission.

But the chair of the Local and Municipal Committee insisted on a hearing before that committee.

The Alliance representatives made a return trip to Baton Rouge this morning. And another favorable recommendation was garnered from that committee.

So, it looks like clear sailing for HR 697 to a full Senate vote this week before adjournment.

Odds are that the Senate will approve the legislation.
