John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

Roy Griggs and other local business people have joined together as the CONCERNED BUSINESS PEOPLE OF SHREVEPORT.

This group made a donation of $100,000 to the Shreveport Police Department to help fund the purchase of body cameras for Shreveport police officers.

Contributions to this fund---which has a goal of $200,000—can be made at any Carter Credit Union branch. Checks can also be mailed to the main office of Carter Credit Union at 8988 Ellerbe Road, Shreveport La. 71106.

Checks should be made payable to the Concerned Business People of Shreveport.
