John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

Below please find the ordinance on masks that will be the agenda. It is expected to pass on a 7-5 vote.

This ordinance does NOT have an effective date. It is anticipated that an amendment will be offered for effective date of Friday July 10 at 5 p.m.

Two amendments were also approved. The first is set the maximum for second offense at $500 maximum versus mandatory.

The other is to allow the parish is hire private companies to monitor compliance by businesses with the ordinance.
