ROBINSON FILM CENTER FIRST IN STATE TO SHOW MOVIES

For moviegoers, its been a long, long time since a movie theatre was open — like in March of this year.

The good news — no, really great news — is that Shreveport's Robinson Film Center re-opened on Tuesday, July 7, with a one-day showing of “Ghostbusters.”

On Wednesday, July 8, there was a one-day showing of “Quarantine Cat Film Fest.”

On Thursday, July 9, “Batman Forever” was featured for one day only.

Opening on Friday, July 10, for extended runs are “Black Panther,” The Empire Strikes Back” and “Inside Out.”

Finally, movies can be enjoyed out of one's abode, and on a big screen to boot!

Add to that a full-service concession stand that sells adult beverages. What more could an entertainment-starved person desire? Legally, that is.

Word to the wise — Abby Singer's bar and bistro are not yet open. That may happen on Tuesday, July 14.

Reservations can be made online for the movies. They are suggested due to the 50% limited seated in each theatre.

A mask is required to enter the RFC lobby. But once in the actual theatre, it can be removed to enjoy the concessions.

RFC staff are taking extra precautions to sanitize the theatres and the restrooms after each movie.
