BOSSIER MASS COVID VACCINATION: JOB WELL DONE!

A big pat on the back to all who helped make Saturday's vaccination of 4300 doses of the Johnson & Johnson one-shot vaccine at Brookshire's Grocery Area parking lot a success!
And the same to all who patiently waited to get their much-needed vaccination.
LSU Health Science Center and Ochsner LSU Shreveport sponsored the event, which was the largest mass vaccination in Louisiana on Saturday.
More than 100 volunteers assisted in this effort. These included the Louisiana National Guard along with students and staff of LSU Health Shreveport, Ochsner LSU Health, nursing students from Bossier Parish Community College, Southern University Shreveport, and Northwestern University, and staff from many area healthcare providers.
The vaccine was available to anyone 65 or older, health care workers, daycare workers, K-12 support staff, and those 55-64 with qualifying medical conditions.
The coordinated effort provided 12 immunizations at a time.
