John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

ALL TEACHERS DESERVE TO BE GIVEN THE STIPEND PROPOSED BY SCHOOL BOARD, NO EXCEPTIONS

Every teacher and support personnel in Caddo Parish deserves the $1,000 stipend that the school board is proposing, without any exception. There should be no teacher or support personnel who doesn’t qualify. In fact, all of the teachers should be given $1,500, which is a way to show them that they are respected for what they do every day, and that the citizens of the parish appreciate their commitment. The school district will be receiving millions of dollars from the COVID rescue package, money that was not expected, and should be used to shore up teachers, who are woefully underpaid already.
