‘DON’T BE A SNOT: GET THE SHOT’ CONTEST PROVES SUCCESSFUL

JOHN E. SETTLE JR.

FOCUS SB/The Inquisitor has completed its “Don’t Be a Snot: Get the Shot – Win $100” contest.

The purpose of the contest, in addition to a chance to win a cash prize and a free oneyear subscription to the newspaper, was to bring awareness of the new Covid vaccines and this publication’s attempt to encourage citizens to make the healthy choice of getting vaccinated.

Eleven people were justly rewarded for their selfless act of rolling up their sleeves and getting the shot.

Those 11 winners of $100 (and a healthier outlook on life) were Lois Robinson, Bill Robertson, Betty Walpool, Gloria Washington, Reed Ebarb, Sandy Cimino, Jean Mosley, Peggy Swindle, Fawn Walker, Sam Gilliam and Glenda Ilgenfritz. Lois said she planned to donate the money to the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana.

The contest might be over, but the vaccinations are ongoing. Take the opportunity to keep yourself, your family, your friends and co-workers safe. Don’t be a snot. Get the shot!

Even if you have had COVID (like me), the vaccinations ARE very important. Protect yourself, your family, your friends, your co-workers, and your community! Get the shot!
