HOLY TRINITY CHURCH BUYS THE OLD DOWNTOWN BUS STATION

The bus station on Fannin Street located between the Second Circuit Court of Appeals building and the U.S. Federal Building was conveyed on Sept. 7 by Greyhound Lines, Inc. to The Congregation of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Inc.

The listed purchase price was " $10 and other good and valuable consideration."

Although the stated consideration is often the norm in other states, the failure to reflect the appropriate consideration can cause a cloud on the title of this conveyance to Holy Trinity.

Church officials declined to comment on this transaction, both as to the actual amount paid and/or the intended use of this iconic downtown structure.
