WHERE WILL COUNCILMAN JACKSON MEET SOUTHERN HILLS CONSTITUENTS?

In what can only be considered "unusual", the Shreveport city council clerk's office sent out an announcement that Alan Jackson, the newly appointed council member for District E., would have a "Meet Dr. Alan Jackson" event at Southern Hills Community Center on Thurs. Jan. 6 at 6 p.m..

The announcement looked like a political candidate push card. And in small print advised that only pre-submitted questions would be answered.

The Southern Hills Community Center does NOT have a reservation for this meeting, and in fact a basketball game has been scheduled at that time.

So, what gives with both with the announcement forwarded by the council clerk's office and the location of the planned meet but don't ask live question event?
