John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

CADDO COMMISSIONER JACKSON HAS JUDGEMENT RENDERED AGAINST HIM FOR ETHICS VIOLATIONS


On Tues. of this week, a judgement was rendered against Caddo Commissioner Steven Jackson in Caddo District court.

The Louisiana Board of Ethics sued Jackson for fines due for failure to timely file campaign finance reports.

The judgement was rendered for $3260 for unpaid fines, late fees, attorney fees of 25%, judicial interests and court costs.

Court costs have yet to be calculated by the clerk's office.

Jackson also has cited another ethics violation that has yet to be resolved.
