THE BIG BUCKS KEEP FLOWING IN FOR MAYORAL CANDIDATE TARVER

Louisiana ethics laws require that special reports must be filed within 48 hours of receipt for campaign contributions within the 20-day period immediately preceding an election.

This requirement applies to both the Nov. 10 primary election and the upcoming Dec. 10 run-off general election.

Mayoral candidate Tom Arceneaux has not filed any special 48-hour reports since Nov. 8 that are listed on the Louisiana Ethics Administration website.

Mayoral candidate Greg Tarver has filed three special 48 hours reports since Nov. 10. They reflect campaign donations in excess of $125,000.

Campaign donations are maxed at $2500 for the primary. And in the run-off the same donors can contribute another $2500.

The next campaign reports due are the 1oth day prior to general election, which is Tues. Nov. 30. These reports will cover the period from Oct. 20 through Nov. 20

The 10th day report is required of all the run-off candidates: mayor, council, and school board.
