RUMORS ON WHY SHREVEPORT CITY TAX NOTICES HAVE YET TO BE RECEIVED IN THE MAIL

Now that the Shreveport elections are finally over, the local rumor mill has been somewhat slow. But the unexplained late mailing of the Shreveport city tax notices has provided some fuel for the political hot stove.

Here is the latest list of excuses:

1. The city failed to post the proper postage.

2. The notices are still on the desk of the interim CFO Brown who reportedly is on family leave for an expected child.

3. The notices were forwarded to Blue Line Solutions, the school zone photo camera system people, to send out with their "shake down" citations to person not speeding in school zones.

4. The city's IT director Keith Hanson posted the wrong zip codes on the notices as he was pilfering the city's IT files for info, he could use in his new business venture kicking off on Jan. 1 with Marcus oral sex under my desk Mitchell.

5. Mayor Adrian Perkins was tasked with taking the notices to the post office and he forgot to do so before jetting off after his primary loss--by the way, when is he returning?

6. Council chair James Beard Butter Green offered to handle the mailing from his church so he could include a donation card and they are stacked up at his radio studio.

7. The city’s beleaguered finance office is waiting for Ben Hebert to come back and advise them how to actually compute the taxes--is anyone in charge over them?

8. The grinch persuaded the city to play Santa and forgive the taxes because of all the federal surplus money in the city reserve.

9. Top city officials had supported Tarver and now are trying to leave a lasting headache for mayor elect Arceneaux.

I realize that some of the rumored explanations have not been reported to me. Please forward so I can update the list.
