MORE PROBLEMS AT SHREVEPORT CITY HALL ON PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS

And the hits just keep coming in the last days of the Perkins administration.

The lastest is a big mistake in pay checks.

City employees received an email on Wed. that advised that benefit deductions were not taken out of the Dec. 15 semi-monthly paychecks. The Human Resources Department advised that deductions will be doubled on the next payroll. (The weekly employees' deductions were correct.)

Yesterday most city property owners finally received their city ad valorem tax notices in the mail. These were only about 10 days late.

On Wed. the city's Blue Line Solutions photo camera system citations took a big hit at appeal hearings based on the timing of tickers, etc. Blue Line admitted that the system needed to be tweaked.

Prior to that the citys IT department needed over a week to correct a server problem that resulted in the city jail website being down.

Mayor-elect Arceneaux now has more issues that should be dealt with very timely.

Maybe he should bring back Ben Hebert who was fired by the city and is now a whistleblower. Hebert was the city's finance manager until his termination.

With a change in administrations, its common for many city officials to start jumping off the ship. One just wishes that they would properly perform their duties and not leave droppings for the new administration to clean up.
