John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

RESIGNATIONS SUBMITTED AT SHREVEPORT CITY HALL

After Mayor Adrian Perkins' fourth place finish in the Nov. 8 primary, the handwriting was on the wall for key personnel he appointed.

Resignations have been submitted by CAO Henry Whitehorn, City Attorney Ron Lattier, IT Director Keith Hanson Executive Counsel to the Mayor Shennerika Fleming. These are effective Dec. 31 for all except for Hanson's which is effective Dec. 30.

Communications director Marquel Sennet tendered a resignation effective Nov. 15. Sennet was announced as the new Caddo School Board communications director yesterday (Dec. 19).

Interim CFO Kacey Brown, the interim CFO, has taken leave under the Family Medical Leave Act. How long he will remain on leave and thus on the city payroll is unknown.

Other resignations can be expected soon.
