SHOULD SURGE ENTERTAINMENT BE GRANTED LIQUOR LICENSE???

The new end all entertainment center in Pierre Bossier Mall has been open for approximately two weeks. This is the Drew Brees endeavor.

SURGE wants a liquor license, both high and low. And they have pushed Bossier officials very aggressively to have special meetings to expedite the approval process.

The Bossier Metropolitan Planning Commission acquiesced and approved the zoning change at a special meeting to allow alcohol sales.

Now the Bossier Council will have a special meeting tomorrow, Thurs. at 10 a.m. to review the MPC decision.

Reportedly there have been many disorderly incidents at Surge with rowdy patrons. The Bossier Police Department has responded to calls to restore order.

Alcohol sales may encourage more problems if alcohol is allowed in the gaming area.

The Bossier Council may limit alcohol sales to the restaurant area.

Lately meetings of the Bossier Council have been as exciting as watching paint dry. Tomorrow's special meeting may provide more excitement.
