CADDO COMMISSIONER STEVEN JACKSON FUNDRAISER IN NEW ORLEANS

JOHN E. SETTLE JR

Goodness...the Windsor Court Grill Room with a requested donation of $2500!

Caddo Commissioner Steven Jackson is going  big time with fundraiser for the "Campaign to Elect Steven Jackson".

The invite does NOT say to what office Steven is seeking.

But is a well known fact that he wants to  run for the seat of  State Senator Greg Tarver who is termed out in 2023.

Jackson spends considerable time in Baton Rouge and he likes to  lecture his fellow commissioners on his "knowledge" of Baton Rouge politics and legislation.

Jackson has a campaign fund from his failed mayoral campaign in 2018 with over $28.000.

Jackson's mentors are Glover and former Shreveport council member Calvin Lester.

The event is next Wed. April 27. Cocktails and coffee will be served between 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Jackson has a polarizing personality that has both served him well at times while also hindering his effectiveness as a Commissioner.

Much like Glover he is a "smooth talker" with big vocabulary and he enjoys pontificating at Commission meeting.

Many times the facts, the law and logic are not factors in the positions Jackson  asserts in his lengthy diatribes.

Jackson has a well-earned reputation of calling out the media on ANY coverage that does not please him.

Those that attend the Caddo Commission meetings well know that Jackson will almost always win the "longest talker saying the least" award.
