John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

MAJOR NEWS FROM ARCENEAUX, CHAVEZ AND TALIAFERRO AT NOON LUNCHEON

Tom Arceneaux, Mario Chavez and Jim Taliaferro each addressed the Caddo Republicans during a noon luncheon today, (Tuesday) to an overflow crowd.
 
Arceneaux emphasized on his record of service for 40 years.
Tom advised he had $180 thousand in his campaign fund with only $1,000 of his own money.
 
Chavez stressed the need for unity in the city.
Mario announced he would also run as a "No Party" candidate.
 
Taliaferro reviewed his military, law enforcement and campaign experience.
Jim said the poll numbers will determine if he qualifies for the election.
