WHO REQUESTED PUBLISHER'SACCESS TO CITY EMAIL DOMAIN BE BLOCKED?

On May 4, my access to the city email domain of Shreveportla.gov was blocked by the city's Information Technology (IT) office.

This resulted in my inability to email council members and city officials on any matter using the shreveportla.gov address.

As of Wednesday, May 18, at 5:30 p.m., my access was still blocked.

The IT executive director has confirmed that my access was blocked at the request of a council member(s).

As of the press deadline of noon on Thursday, May 19, the IT office had not revealed the council member or members who requested this drastic action.

Council members Grayson Boucher and John Nickelson issued a press release on Wednesday condemning this action.

Council members LeVette Fuller, Jerry Bowman Jr. and Alan Jackson have categorically denied any involvement in this unprecedented action.

Texts to Council President James Green and Councilwoman Tabatha Taylor inquiring if they made any requests to IT to block my email access have not been answered.

So, who made the request and why?
