John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

CHANCE TO REVIEW PROPOSED SHREVEPORT REDISTRICTING MAPS

Shreveport City Council members Levette Fuller, John Nickelson and Grayson Boucher have coordinated a public viewing of the proposed redistricting maps for the city of Shreveport.

This event will be  Mon. June 6 at Southfield School Auditorium from 5 - 8 p.m.

The address is 1100 Southfield Road.

Demographer Dr. Gary Jolner will to present to answers questions.

The council must adopt a redistricting plan by June 20.

Fuller, Nickelson and Boucher are to be commended for providing this opportunity to the public. 

This is the first public "showing" of the maps.

To date, none other have been scheduled by the other council members.
