MELVIN SLACK SUBJECT OF PETITION FOR PROTECTION FROM ABUSE

Mayoral candidate Melvin Slack has been "colorful" in his comments and antics at the two mayoral forums that have been held.

Allegedly , he went a little too far in his actions at yesterday's forum at LSUS sponsored by PACE.

Greshun deBouse has filed a request for a restraining order against Slack in Caddo's First District Court.

She alleges that Slack threatened her saying that "he would get me" at yesterday's forum.

DeBouse stated that she reported the threat to security at the event.

Her petition also states that Slack called her repeatedly "alluding to meetings for intimate reasons."

She also alleges that he stalked her in her parking lot on Aug. 13.

The case is assigned to Judge Brady O'Callaghan

At this writing the petition and request for a ex parte restraining order has not been reviewed by O'Callaghan.
