Sgt. James Cisco of the Shreveport Police Department was just indicted with federal wire fraud charges.
He is suspected of claiming overtime and getting paid for hours he did not work.
Cisco was placed on administrative leave on June 16, 2021 when an internal affairs investigation was commenced.
Reportedly the findings of the investigation were forwarded to Caddo DA's office. No action was taken by that office.
Cisco's gross pay is $2957 per month as per a response to a public records request.
That means that Cisco has sat at home for over 14 months and been paid in excess of $41 thousand.
Lt. Jeffery Peters reportedly was the ringleader of this wire fraud scheme. To date, Peters has not been indicted.
He was placed on admin leave on Jan. 28, 2021.
His gross salary as per public records request response is $3555 per month.
As of Aug. 28 of this month, Peters will have been paid in excess of $67,500.
The pay will continue until the officers are fired or retired. No a bad gig if you can get it.
