BEETHOVEN'S NINTH SYMPHONY A STELLAR SEASON OPENER FOR SHREVEPORT SYMPHONY

It was all that one could have hoped for.

Be that a classical, musical scholar or just casual music listener.

The Sat. evening performance of Beethoven's renowned choral symphony to a full audience at Riverview Theatre was indeed memorable.

The conclusion with the Ode to Joy was virtually overwhelming to both hear and experience.

The stage was filled with four opera performers, a large symphony cast, and over 150 local singers.

The performance was stirring.

It was exhilarating.

It was wonderfully challenging.

It was thrilling.

It was awe- inspiring.

The power of music to connect people of all nationalities, ethnicities, races, and political persuasion was certainly displayed by this large cast of singers and musicians with this production.

Hats off to all that made this performance possible.
