DOES THE CITY OF SHREVEPORT ONLY HAVE LESS THAN 30 CRIME CAMERAS?

A public records request for all invoices/purchase orders for the City of Shreveport for crime cameras was answered today.

The only invoice reflects delivery of 26 crime cameras for a total cost of $31,105.

The invoice reflects a delivery date of April 15, 2021.

The invoice also shows that a total of SO Crimetech Eyesight crime camera packages were ordered.

The response to the public records request leaves many questions:

1. How many cameras are in storage that can be installed?
2. Is additional equipment/parts needed before installation?
3. How long will it take to complete installation including connection to the Real Time Crime Center?
4. Will the remaining order for 24 cameras be delivered, and if so, when?
