IS IT APPROPRIATE FOR COMMISSIONER JACKSON TO USE GOVERNMENT PLAZA FOR PERSONAL PRESS CONFERENCE?

And the beat goes on with maverick Caddo Commissioner Steven Jackson.

On Jan. 4 a Caddo judge issued a protective order against him after allegations of stalking. And that is not the first stalking rodeo for Jackson.

Then Jackson was arrested on Jan. 7 for impersonating a police officer.

The cherry on top is that Jackson has just held a press conference to deny the charge of impersonating an officer.

Guess where?

At Government Plaza standing outside the chambers in front of the wall with all the pictures of Caddo Commissioners.

This press conference did not deal with Commission business.

This press conference dealt solely with Jackson's criminal arrest.

What's next-- a press conference at the same place by Jackson announcing his political campaign for reelection to the Commission or state representative or state senator?

Dr. Woodrow Wilson, Caddo Administrator, and Donn Frazier, Caddo Commission attorney, have been asked to opine on the appropriateness of this press conference.

One can anticipate a complaint being filed with the Louisiana Ethics Commission on Jackson's recent legal challenges and this press conference.
