John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

GOVERNOR-ELECT LANDRY’S TRANSITION TEAM EMBODIES THE THEME OF “ONE TEAM. ONE DREAM. ONE LOUISIANA.”

One Dream. One Louisiana.” Governor-Elect Landry has appointed approximately 50 individuals from north Louisiana to his transition team. Among Governor-Elect Landry’s transition team members are Tim Hardy, a Shreveport native, one of six co-chairs of the overall transition team. Hardy, a partner in the Baton Rouge based law firm of Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson is also co-chair of the Coastal and Environmental Council.

David Madden, a Minden native, is chairman of the Infrastructure Council. Madden is the manager of Madden Contracting Company, LLC. John Atkins, a Shreveport native, is a member of the Energy, Chemical and Maritime Council. Atkins is a principal and partner in Atco Investment Company and a member of the Caddo Parish Commission for District 9.

Archie Hall, a Shreveport native, is a member of the Energy, Chemical and Maritime Council. Hall is a director of strategic partnerships at Siemens Energy, a global leader in energy technology.

Daryl Fultz, a Shreveport native, is a member of the Energy, Chemical and Maritime Council. Fultz is an investor at Fultz Interests.

Dannye W. Malone, a Shreveport native, is a member of the Infrastructure Council. Malone is general counsel and chief legal officer of the Caddo-Bossier Parishes Port Commission and of counsel in the Shreveport based law firm of Ayres, Shelton, Williams, Benson & Paine, LLC.

Trey Morris, a Shreveport native, is a member of the Coastal and Environmental Council. Morris is the founding partner in the Shreveport based law firm of Morris & Dewitt.

Carlton Golden Jr., a Bossier City native, is a member of the Infrastructure Council. Golden is president and CFO of Builders Supply Company Inc.

Governor-Elect Landry’s commitment to unifying the state is indicative of his selection of north Louisiana residents to serve on his transition team. As emphasized at a recent press conference, Landry stated his administration will ensure every part of this state will have a voice. Landry’s inclusion of transition team members from every part of the state is a great first step in symbolizing “One Team. One Dream. One Louisiana.
