RUMORS ABOUT BOSSIER JUDGE AND BOSSIER CITY ATTORNEY

While all the media focus is on the Caddo Sheriff race recount, there is some news on the east side of the river. Well....rumors that have substantial merit.

The first is that a Bossier-Webster judge will go to the house next year. Yes, the word on the street is that one of the 26th Judicial judges will soon put in his retirement papers.

Assuming this is the case, a special election will be in March of next year. Allie Aiello Stahl has announced that she will run again for district court whenever a vacancy occurs.

The other rumor, which has substantial legs, is that Bossier City Attorney Charles Jacobs is on medical leave due to a serious illness. Jacobs attended the last Bossier Council meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 21 and then sought medical attention.

Richard Ray is the Bossier City assistant attorney and can fulfill the city duties of Jacobs until he is back to good health. And best wishes to Charles for a speedy recovery.

Stay tuned.
