This is a question I emailed to interim city attorney Zelda Tucker yesterday, copying all city council members including Green and chief administrative officer Tom Dark.
I hope for an answer by next Mon., and I will publish the same.
At the Tues. council meeting Green addressed the chambers during the end of the meeting to deliver a long diatribe directed at me. Although he did NOT name me, it was obvious to all in the chamber, those viewing online, and those that read a transcript he was talking about yours truly.
Green made many, many factually incorrect and derogatory statements about me.
None of his complaints had to deal with my actions in the council chambers or my comments to the council.
None of his complaints deal with council issues.
All of his complaints indicated that as a council member I should put him on a pedestal because he was an elected official.
These remarks were directed not only to me but also my publication FOCUS SB/The Inquisitor and my SETTLETALK blog.
By attacking me, they impugn my daughter who is a city court judge, my son, their families, and my employees.
His remarks were also an attack on the media, which Green regularly refuses to talk with.
So, the question is does Green get free representation at the taxpayer's expense if a defamation action is filed?
If so, why?
